ever think of putting an exo cage around it? sure would be a shame if it ever rolled, I know I'd die a little inside

I have thought of the exo, but in a roll most smash the body anyway. The right way to do a exo is with X braces through the body. I'm going to do a interior cage for UA.

To do a real full cage, I would gut the interior so you can get the tubing closer to the body. Seats need to be cage mounted, harnesses cage mounted, and cage frame mounted. The down bars behind the driver will be mounted in the entryway for rear seat access. Just a few of many issues with a rear cage and safety gear.

Front axle upgrades:

Reid Racing knuckles, Yukon shafts, Spicer forged joints, Warn 35 spline hubs, Blue Torch Fab diff cover kit, PSC hydro ram, Trail Gear tube clamp, Valvoline 75-90 full synthetic. (previously installed, Yukon 4.56 gears, Spartan locker, Rock crusher steering arms)

Front axle, DONE!

1.66, Its actually 1 1/4 sched 40 pipe. I didn't have the time or money to pick up a tube bender, so my good ole HF pipe bender had to do.

Holy crap! Those are the nicest looking bends I've ever seen, that were done on the HF "pipe kinker"!

Thanks! Some really slight ripples on the inside of some bends, but thats with bends that are just a few degrees. The larger bends turn out really nice. Im going to try a full 90 on my tire carrier. Interior cage will be mocked up with conduit, then matched with the same tubing.

I have learned some tricks with the bender, and overall Im really happy with it.

For what it's worth, I did my stinger on an HF kinker. That center bend is way tighter than 90*.

There's some deforming on the inside of the bend, but not much. I think a 90 should be easy. I'm using the same type of pipe as you.

Yeah, other than just getting to go, the tires are one of the biggest perks. Not guaranteed, but its nice when the sponsor has some product to give out.

are you stuffing the pipe with sand before bending? I understand that is supposed to help keep it from kinking as bad.

Nope, Im just throwing it in and bending it. The trick to no kinks with a pipe bender... is to use pipe!
