My old rear axle. Need parts?

Things are progressing well with the 8.6, and I'm tired of looking at the 8" sitting on a pallet in my driveway.

I'm going to be stripping everything off the old axle. The gears are spoken for and the carrier is toast. Everything else is in good working order, including most all of the new G80 parts I bought.

I'm going to throw everything in the classified on the OS, but you guys are welcome to first crack at anything you might need. Post here or PM if there's something you could use. I have axles, ebrake hardware, ebrake cables, G80 clutch discs, G80 governor assembly and flyweight, cam gear, yoke etc etc etc.

I can also take any measurement's people might want/need or even cut off any of the mounts if someone really wants a set.

Let me know. I'd like to have the housing itself off to the scrap yard within a week.

I would suggest that if people are going to be wheeling with the 8.0, to pick up one axle from Fishsticks to keep with you... especially if you've got a G80...

We've had more carrier trouble than axle trouble, but especially with a semi-floating C-clip axle, I'd take an axle with me...

I've really been thinking about saving the mounts from my old one, too. Might make for a nice project for a real axle swap down the road.

If no one wants them I would take the mounts for the potential rear swap with the sas.

Probably cheaper to fine an shaft locally in a scrap yard than ship a shaft cross country.

Ahhhhhh, you lose a c-clip, at least the brake caliper will keep the axle from departing the vehicle. Destroys the caliper, but you can get to pavement. You should all know how I know this.

I lost my right side C clip on the 60 mile trip home from my axle blow up. Amazingly my caliper survived, although the rotor/pad wasn't in very good shape.
