Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

COMPLETED: 4.56's and lockers.

G80, GU6, GT4, GT5, WTF? This section is for gearing and driveline stuff.

It really seems like the I6 could handle more than a 2" tire size change before needing a gear swap.

Was this something needed, or just wanted?

Wanted. My truck came stock with 4.10's.

I blew up the Gov-Bomb in my 8" 10 bolt on some rocks. The 8.6" 10 bolt I picked up out of an EXT Trailblazer was open diff and had 3.73 gears. I had to change gears anyway, so I figured what the hell.

I drove the truck with the 3.73's in for awhile. I didn't like it, but it was usable.

a light set of alum wheels and 35s dont feel bad with my mildly modded I6 and 3.73.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Just installed the No-Slip into the axle I picked up last week. Took no more than 15 minutes for real. Didn't swap the axle in yet, want to clean it up and give it a nice coat of paint, but it'll be going on soon. Can't wait to wheel with it. :flex dirty:

I wanted to add for those trying to get the front diff out. I left the diff as the last part of the original suspension and steering, and it still would not come out.

I just chopped off the subframe and it fell out...

I would skip the fight and pull it out the top as directed.

(Mine was a 2002 I6...)
