Interior fans

Fan has a mind of it's own currently. Mechanic says it some sensor in the dash. Also 400.00 fix. Anyone have idea of where this bad boy is located or if it's in the dash at all.

Let me explain more. Interior fan sometimes works. Keep in auto mode. Doesn't work in manual either. Was going to replace the control panel but my mechanic says there some kind of sensor in the dash. Guessing there could be a temp control sensor. But does anyone have any idea where it could be.

If no one chimes in give GMTNation.com a look as well. Your answer may await over there. There is a bigger member base over there and alot more trouble shooting and answers that don't have much to do with a lifted GMT.

I have manual controls so I'm not much help. I had to replace my fan relay which is a common problem for the manual HVAC.

Would the relay cause to only work when and if it chooses to. Also will check on GMT

No for the manual controls the relay causes certain fan speeds to not work. For me 1-4 didn't work but 5 did. It doesn't make the operation sporadic.

Was the blower motor resistor. GMTNation was a help. Thanks for the information. Easy fix once I got my hand on right resistor

Resistor... Thats right. I said relay, meant resistor. Either way glad you found the solution!
