Headlights question

Hi everyone,
I've got an 08, and I wanted to do some detailing. And I was wondering, whether it is legal to drive with the green halo rings as DRLs?
I know that red and blue lighting in the headlights is not allowed, because it resembles police cars.
But what about green? There is a Silverado truck that I am about to borrow the idea from: https://www.carid.com/gallery/chevy/silverado/ (see the very last truck in the 2nd line). He has got 2 green halo rings on each side. Yet I am not sure, whether that's a show car or something that he drives every day.
So, I am planning to grab a set of LED rings and will plug them to my DRLs. Will I need any extra load resistors or something extra to do the job?

Laws vary by state. Not illegal in FL, only protected colors are red and blue. If it tickles your fancy, go for it. After all, you're the one who has to see and drive it everyday.

I won't tell you what to do and what not to do. It's your vehicle, so do whatever you want with it as long as it's legal. However, you might want to check and make sure you're asking the right questions in the right places. ORTB is a community built on the firm foundation of functionality and improvements beyond looks and "detailing". Usually, a badass looking truck is a side affect of well thought out functional modifications.

We can do our best to answer any questions you have about useful LEDs like off-road light bars, but GMTNation is a much better place for discussion on RGB halos and the likes. There is more than likely several threads already about legal colors and that sort of stuff.a

Legal in TX but I disagree with the comment about you being the one who sees it, since everyone else sees your headlights more than you do.

It's your truck, you do you, but I don't add any lights unless they provide function.

Greens legal to have on in Maine. But I hope your trailblazer is green and has supporting green details because it'll just look weird otherwise, I think atleast. If I were to do something like that to my tb I would want the halo to be a white/orange switchback halo, white for drl and orange for turn signal.

I'd go for RGB LEDs so you can have any color you wish.
