Rookie mistake

Breaker 1-9, anybody got a copy? Any discussion or mods relating to electrons and wires go here.

So I made my first rookie mistake, andit was wiring my fogs lights switch directly to my battery. Left my fog lights on and completely drained my battery. So how would I wire this switch to turn off with my trailblazer?

I used a switch lead from a stock fog light to switch a relay. They have wiring diagrams on most relays.

Well I spliced the power for the switch into the power for the fog light harness. There's already a relay in the harness.
So would I just take out the power wire for the switch and run it to a fuse that turns off with my trailblazer? Like I did with my amplifiers and their remote wire for my music system.

If it's wired in with the stock fog light harness, it would be automatically turned off like the stock fogs..

If you wire it direct, I suggest two things, a lighted switch when on and turn around and admire your rig as you walk away. Face it, you want to look at it as much as possible anyway, give in to your pride.

The fog lights were something I installed, since my trailblazer didn't come with fog lights.

And It was in the garage when I left it on, so I couldn't admire it this time
