This thread has gone downhill fast. Is our first national meet going to be a glow off at a McDs parking lot? :friday:

Phil, if you want to start a new thread in the completed mods forum that has details about your mods, that would be good. This thread isn't really "completed mods" material.

Did you just drill a hole?
Did you fab brackets?

My bad guys, I was busy last night with Christmas shopping. As far as the mounting, the holes were already there in my bumper support. I'll get pics when I can. I want to wait until wiring is complete before posting pics, and didn't take pics during the install because I was busy and doing it right before work. Don't worry folks, the great documentary is coming.

There could be use to something like the "rock lights". What is you were out at night, and needed assistance. That strobe effect would certainly help locate you.

It could be a low level light at a camp site. I can see how this would help in a night repair. But how often are repairs done in the dark......

I know i need to set up some kind of lights under my hood. I hate that there is no auto light that comes on when you open it right from the factory. Id also like one for my glove box.

do they come in red???

im having wierd ideas for when i get first responder certified, and can run red emergency lights,in addition to the current clear/whites.

i think that'd greatly increase how much light is being thrown out the sides and rear for night runs.

givin me ideas...im gonna take that video over to the emergency section on the OS now.

i wont need rock lights for awhile,if ever on the TB though...not a rock fan.

I like the idea of red exterior work lights, since they don't destroy your night vision. Sometimes I like to do a little stargazing or meteor watching, so it'd be nice to have a dual white/red light set.

i was thinking more along the lines of an addition to my emergency lights(clear and amber)that i use for landscaping, and used for the roadservice.

going to try to become a volunteer FF soon and then ill run reds, once i get certified and the permit from the city for them.

but using them as work lights would be nice too,red wouldnt mess up night vision so much when offroading or working on the undercarriage on a trip, and still giving them everyday purpose(we are all about dual purpose rigs right??)
but for any purposes, its at least a year away for me at best.
