If you guys had some Henry Weinhards I'd have been there. Especially the blond. Miss that stuff from my days out there. I got my CB put in today too.

4angels wrote:So here is a Fire Stick I mounted today. Running the coax thru the firewall turned out to be tuff but it is well sealed. I do notice a little hum above 30 mph so I am thinking it is wind noise from the stick? Anyway, sorry the pics arent the best but I am happy with the outcome so far.

Where did you get your mount?

This would be my recommendation as a alternative mount, I use a Diamond K-400 which is a bit more heavy duty but almost double the price. It is a hatch mount but I know of several people that have them mounted to their hood.

What type of cable did you use to connect the antenna to the CB unit? There isn't nearly enough room between the mount and the fender to mount the style I normally use.

You could use something like the firering attatchment from firestik, you could also crimp on the end after you get the cable in place, I used a cable with eyelets on the antenna end
