His wife said no holes in the TB... :finger:

But yea, I mounted my vhf radio to the center console with dry wall screws right into the plastic. And both my microphone mounts are screwed in. The pod for my trans temp gauge required holes be drilled. Holes are a good thing :D

You make it sound like there are two things he doesn't get to drill...

I'm more worried about my kayak paddle flying at the back of my head, than anything else. Not only does the wife not want holes drilled anywhere, neither do I. I'm also experimenting with the magnets that come in laptop lids. I have a ton of them, from when I worked at Geek Squad City, and they are super strong.

I got a idea go to the closes junk yard and get lower panel under the steering wheel. Pull yours out and then drill in to the new one you got. This way no holes in your stock panel. :finger:

Well, start drilling in an area that's easy to replace. The knee kicker is an easy place. Or at least bend up some bracket so you can attach to a hidden bolt, and have the bracket extend through a panel.

You can get another panel for under the steering wheel on eBay for less than $30. I used some self tapping screws to mount the CB bracket, works great.

While all of those are good options, I don't want the mic that low. May try James' suggestion of the bracket. I like my original mic mounting location, next to the center driver side vent. In this location, the mic cord droops down, around, and up, leaving the rear wiper and 4x4 controls easily accessible between the down and up portion of the cord. I may try to get a pic up later today, to illustrate what I'm talking about.

Mario made a camera mount in that general area. You might be able to take some inspiration from his thread.
