Those in the military that have the best equipment don't exist or damn near don't.

The main advantage I can see. is that they have the 16ft whip, instead of just the 8 1/2. I have a dual system with the firestik and 8 1/2 and then tuned it for my cb. I have excellent SWR. The reason I added the whip, is even in camp I couldn't get the NOAA weather station because I couldn't get high enough out of the saddle between the mountains. As far cell phones go, I think they're junk in the Oregon back country, hence my focus on the cb. Haven't yet had a problem with the whip now, but I did notice that I shouldn't transmit while tied down, which might be a good reason to not have to long of a whip. My two cents anyways...
The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

and anything that gets rid of that crazy echo is good. lol
You guys were really hard to understand the first half of the trip, the second half was good though.
Not sure what options you were or weren't using, but the more options you turned off the better it got.
