If you were to put the diode on the flasher line would that give you flash priority over brake/turn function?

It doesn't really work that way. The diode really just prevents the 12V strobe signal from back-feeding into normal or trailer tail lights.

That is definitely an awesome mod James! Are you planning on doing a detailed write up like you did with the roof lights?

Thanks. Not planning on doing anything more than is already posted in this thread. It's really not difficult. Just find some way to mount the lights... the wiring is really pretty easy. No need even for diodes if there is no emergency flasher in the mix.

Here's a little video I took because I was curious how it looked to other drivers. Pretty cool I think...

I like the Extra brake light idea and wouldn't mind doing that. They look good.

If I did that in my county I'd get locked up for impersonating an officer

Technically, VA has no problem if you have red brake and turn lights. There's also a provision for allowing flashers, the exception is that they cannot alternate sides. So mine are perfectly legal anywhere in VA by any civilian. Now, I don't go driving around with them on, mind you.

I'm guessing Mason is a volunteer fireman or EMS?

I've never even been questioned about them I've had them on around cops a couples times lol one just looked at me and told me they look nice and kept walking that was also at wreck tho. There just warning lights I wouldn't think theyd really say too much about them if you were using them in a warning way but I could be wrong and again like James said I don't generally go around driving with them on either

This one I could get in trouble for but I dont use them very much
Here you can have them and have them on as long as your one not moving and obviously not got someone pulled over. I wire a lot of peoples cars trucks or whatever so it just shows them what I can do plus I like to //// with people a lil bit too ;-)
I also do some road side

I was thinking about doing volunteer fire but I got to busy and didn't have enough time due to work. Its got everything to be whatever you want to do full programmable Whelen siren, Whelen PA, and Whelen lights.

Mason - what wattage are your hideaways? What model number pack did you get, and where did you order it from?
