Swapping out complete dash , auto climate, DIC cluster...

Breaker 1-9, anybody got a copy? Any discussion or mods relating to electrons and wires go here.

I have Josh's 2002 LT Trailblazer and I'm looking to take the dash out and put it into my 2004 LS. The LT is a complete donor for auto climate, DIC cluster, and steering wheel with controls.

I know that swapping from manual to auto climate is a pain in the a$$... but would it be more feasible to swap out the entire dashboard? I figure if I could tare down the 02 dash carefully, I can get it to a point where its just a matter of bolting it back in, but in the 04. I know that I will need some specific items that are not in the dash, ambient temp sensor in the grill (I already have this as I replaced my rearview mirror with a temp/compass unit some years ago) and the driver side sensor in the B pillar next to the drivers head. I already have this removed from the 02.

Maybe if someone is local and wants to give me a hand one day??? LOL

Uh that sounds like a lot of work! Have lookend on the OS where theRoadie has removed his entire dash? I´ll think that would be a good point ot start.
Couldn´t find the original thread but here is a picture:

Me007 Gold is swapping his Trailblazer interior for an envoy interior. I know there is a thread on gmtnation about it. Not sure how much progress he has made. I'd love to lend a hand, as I've messed with bits and pieces of my dash, but it's a bit of a drive.

I would assume you could just pick and choose parts for the swap, I doubt it would be advantageous to swap the whole dash. Either way you would probably have to take the whole thing apart and put it back together. It's not hard, just time consuming.

I think you need to have the dash out that far to get at the plenum to add the airflow temp sensors the automatic HVAC system requires. Good news is that you will be harvesting five HVAC actuators that have value to sell, and it will be easy to add the Jeep lib///y grab handle mod. You could be the second in the world to have that mod.

Next time I have my dash out that far, it's not going back in. :D
