TECORE 8 Video

Discussion of photos, video, cameras, and post-processing.

Regarding the law, it is pretty convoluted... I tried reading through, and I was unable to come to any determination regarding the legality. I have been under the impression that NF and NP lands now defer to the state laws. But I also saw other people stating that state laws still reference an old rule that OC is only legal on NF lands during hunting seasons. Seems its still a bit unresolved, but the last topic I could find covering OC is from a year ago. Something could have changed since then... but regardless I'm quite certain that if you're minding your own business in your camp and OCing, a ranger will not give you a ticket - he may correct your mistake, but I can't see them being pricks about it. They are normally pretty cool.

Anyways, the point is somewhat moot because the particular shot in the video was not on NF land. :raspberry:

With that single statement you might have kept this from getting totally and completely derailed. You suck.

Did it not seem intentional? Because it so, that's good to know. I was having trouble turning the temo down at the end for the conclusion... maybe I didn't slow it down enough and left it hanging some?... hm.

But seriously, I'm looking for critiques.

I showed the video to my dad, He said "it is theater quality stuff. You must take your film equipment very seriously."

I thought it looked cool, but I could have used more wheeling in it, even if it is 10 minutes. Could have used, at the very least, the whole scenes of everybody going down the big rock at the side of the trail, and maybe some of the turning around in the trail (sped up, of course). My thought about all of the artsy stuff was that it was cool, and would be a good addition to showing the actual wheeling, but what it ended up was all the artsy stuff and just enough of the wheeling for the viewer to say "I bet they wheeled some on that trip."

Yeah, I've been trying to trace down the issue. I don't believe its legitamate... but I can't prove it right now to youtube. I'm working on the dispute though. Really big PITA.

It should be back up and running for a little while - at least until the licensing issue has been sorted out. It might ultimately go in my favor, might not.
