I wanted to inform the membership that we will be implementing a new banner in the near future.

The purpose for this banner will be to both attract new vendors and to retain the excellent vendors we currently have by giving them a little more visibility. I hope the banner will help kindle the relationship between this site, the vendors, and our membership. We hope that this added incentive will be an extra reason for vendors to join and contribute to the community.

I feel the new banners meet two of ORTB's mission statements:

  • Promote, define, and grow development within the off-road and trailblazer aftermarket industry.
  • Promote goodwill between vendors and end-users.

I do wish to make it known that the banners will not be paid for by the vendors... it's simply a sign of the symbiotic relationship between ORTB members and our vendors. Please do not view this as an ad, I feel that it is much more and will provide benefit for members and vendors alike in the long run.

The ORTB team has discussed this and we have come up with an implementation plan.
We will initially be rolling out the banners for only our Off-road Vendors only - and only after their approval.

These are the guidelines for the banners:

  • Standard banner size
  • No banner animations
  • Positioned immediately below the site menu bars
  • Banners will be randomly displayed on all forum pages - no preferences
  • Ads must be relevant to products for TrailBlazers/Envoys and/or Off Road products
  • Banners are approved/removed at the team's discretion

Expect to see the banners appear in the coming few hours. There may be a couple glitches here and there, so just be a little patient. This is currently a trial run and may be removed in the future if it's not providing the vendor-member link that I'm hoping for.

As always I am open to input, please PM me or any member of the ORTB Team with your concerns once the banners are displayed.

The initial set is up and running.

I'm waiting for approval from some of the vendors.

If anyone sees something that is not working, please let me know.

I think the banners are a great idea. They do not come across as annoying, in my honest opinion. I think they are a great way of building relationships with our existing vendors as well as opening the door for future vendors!
