Our website hosting bill is up for renewal next month, and sadly we are not at the needed funding level to proceed with our virtual private server hosting costs. In the past, our donations and fundraising have been able to fully fund the site without asking for assistance.

If we cannot raise the funds needed, we can always bump back to a lower level of hosting in order to bring the hosting charges down. However some of you will remember that a couple of years back we had issues with server uptime. Those server uptime issues drove us to buy into the increased hosting cost of a VPS. Since the time that we upgraded our hosting capabilities, we have had 99%+ uptime with the site (with the only notable exception being a memory issue with the server that took a weekend to fully address). I don't want to go back to a shared server, and I imagine those of you that remember the issues that we battled for a good 6 months feel the same way.

Additionally, last year I was able to fund the updated and mobile-friendly theme that you're viewing now. I've been hoping to roll this same theme out to the wordpress side of the site (the articles), however in the current financial state of the site, this can't be funded.

So as active members of the site, I'm asking for your help in funding our hosting and for funding the future development of this site. If you're able to donate a few bucks and think that the site is worth supporting, please follow the link below to our paypal donation page.

You can also donate through the following link:

Your help and support is much appreciated by the whole ORTB team - and especially by me.

The margin on the calendar is basically nonexistant. Decals make a good margin, but their sales have been low this year.

I want to post a public thank you to the 5 of you that have donated something so far. Thanks to your generosity, we're roughly halfway from where we were yesterday to reaching the goal for paying off the hosting bill, and a bit further off if we wish to pay for some of the additional planned website enhancements. Its up to the rest of you to make that happen.

Thanks to you that donated! We have reached the balance where we will be able to pay our hosting bill for another year!

Matt, last summer we upgraded the forum's theme to the one that you're seeing now. It was an enhancement because this theme automatically adjusts to any screen size, which isn't easy when you are dealing with screens as big as TVs and screens as small as iphones. You will notice however that the articles section of this site do not have a fully matching theme. That is closer to what the forum used to look like. The big plan will be to update that site to the new theme over the next year, if we can fund it.

Do you have any enhancement suggestions?

The site is worth donating too. I got up and rolling because of build threads, trip reports and Tech support. I threw a little in there to help keep it rolling.
