Any way we can get a "Like " option for posts, like over GMTNation.com? Or is this just not possible?

I like the "like" button. Lets someone know you agree with them, without having to put up another post with the"I agree with this post" smiley

Then what are we gonna do with that smiley?

And you need to use the thumbs ups too, cause you can agree with someone and still not like the post...

Personally, I see little value in them except to make kids think they're on Facebook, which they are not. Without a "dislike" button, they're fundamentally skewed, and people can't be truly honest. I've accumulated >1200 likes on GMTN and many of them are not for technical content, but for snarky or witty comebacks. Can't use them to do much except feel better about myself in a currency with a very small exchange rate to the real world. Just my old fart opinion.

Or do what I do. Assume everybody agrees with me unless they talk back. Then I bite their heads off as a warning to others. :finger:

But if you notice, the "I agree" smiley is nodding enthusiastically, with a huge s#@t-eating grin on his face. In my book, that implies you would like the thread, as well. We could always replace him with a non-nodding, frowny-face "I agree" smiley.LOL

FINE! Forget I even said anything about it. LMFAO.

Edit: Then throw a dislike button on there, too. Just to be fair, and all.

Something wrong with NickelBack? I like them too but the head banging is more a metallica style. A billion bands you can put there I just picked one.

Nope. Nothing wrong with Nickelback, if that's what somebody likes. I just think they're a little overrated, and not as talented as most people think. Their songs are a little too kitschy for my taste.

Like Button, Dislike Button, LAME Button we don't need those! Sometimes the silence is golden and understood that you are good with it!
