I was slightly involved in the idea of it, as Bill invited me through the Yahoo group he created. Unfortunately, I'm computer retarded, so I didn't really contribute to the actual site. But, I'm here!! And loving it!! Thanks again for the invite Bill!!

On another note, slightly off topic, anyone notice how dead the O/S Offroad section is???? :finger:

Loving this site.

I saw JD's link on Trailvoy and followed it. At the time it was just his build.

And it seems to me that this site is going even stronger than the O/S offroad section ever did!

Kinda nice to start fresh sometimes... no more "What do i need to lift?!" bullshit. :woot:

It still attracts noobs every day, who get fabulous advice from the wannabe offroaders who just put on their mall lifts.

I asked James first after seeing his signature on the os. I guess I wanted to make sure my status was acceptable. I question if "asking" should be a prerequisite with members like Philberto standing on every corner of the os inviting people to the party. :excited:

:slap: now now, I've only invited two people, and one of those was already on here it turns out... The other one earned the "decidedly non-noob" award, for lifting his TB from MarkMC and finding all his own info and using his first post to share that. If we start seeing a noob wave though, I will take full responsibility, cease being friendly to the OS people, and let our Viking mods weed out the undesirables :viking: :viking:

Besides, I think the roadie's doing a good job of scaring noobs from ever coming here :shoot:

That's a good point. Been reading his posts on the os and he seems even more cranky than usual.

It's a normal seasonal variation, well within normal parameters. Somebody should publish the RCI (Roadie Crankiness Index) and see if it correlates to ladies' skirt lengths or the DJIA. :work:

Plus a new unanticipated effect: Lots of new TB owners getting older vehicles, traded in by their first owners for being maintenance nightmares, expecting them to be "normal" GM products. Hehe. And doing inadequate pre-purchase inspections. Poor sods.

Plus the continuing parade of Show & Shine fans, not like us. Here's one:

XXX wrote:i see that quite a few people have splash guards. question is: has anyone just ran w/ them in the winter, and taken them off in summer? if so how much crud gets behind them and has it messed up the paint.

i have factory chrome steps for summer and factory black steps for winter on a white tb. would like to use guards in the winter, but not if it will mess up paint underneath.

Crybaby.
