Does anybody else get strange scrolling happening when you're typing or editing posts where the text editor window has a scrolling bar on it? It scrolls up, then scrolls down then up every time you hit a key... Just took a video of it. See below:

I'm on Windows XP with all the service packs and updates, The latest IE, and the latest Flash.

Very strange Mike. I hope we can figure this out for you.

Personally I have never seen this issue before and am not quite sure of the fix.

I get the same thing on IE 7 when editing or typing long posts... it doesn't want to scroll properly.

I just installed Firefox on this computer, and it works fine on there...

FWIW, I just looked and I have IE8

I think it may be something with the java that is doing that. I have seen the problem here at work on a few apps.

VBulletin doesn't use a java app for it's editor though does it?

Nevermind. Just answered my own question by looking at the page source.

yeah I was making my build thread today and then during editing it was acting all tweaked. Jumping a page and when I hit enter it was only acting like a tab. But my internet on my phone and my laptop (diff carriers) have been acting odd since Fri. so I figured it was that.

Windows 7 current updates.

IE has a compatibility settings to jive with code designed for IE7 and what not. That might help.

On another note, I know folks hate hearing this, but unless you really *need* IE for a specific site, use Chrome or Firefox.

I use Chrome/Firefox at home depending on how I'm browsing. Work, however, uses the ancient, obsolete IE 7.

I have the same problem when typing long posts, because I haven't installed Ssafari yet. Safari is much, much better than Firefox.
