To help bring the two sides of ORTB together, I'll try to update this thread whenever an article is added or updated with new information.

So far, I'm happy with the articles we have, but I realize we have only scratched the surface.

So, if you see a need for an article, please post your idea here or send me a PM.

If you would like to submit an article, I'd much appreciate it, as it's not always easy coming up with content. I'll make sure you are rewarded somehow. :chef:

I can submit the P3 install that the OS has been "going to post" for right at 2 years, now?

Sounds good. What's P3?

Mario answered my question... brake controller. Send it over and I'll try to get it up ASAP.

At one point we were waiting for the paid position of "Site Content Manager" to get created to do that stuff. And the volunteers decided if there was enough money to pay for a part- or full-time content manager, we were going to do less Article work ourselves. Sigh..... And then the site got sold to an even more profit-driven corporate domain collector, and we just gave up.

Odd thing, though - for a profit-minded enterprise, they can't even be bothered to set up the store again and sell tshirts and stickers. Feh.

I'm looking for someone to do a detailed lift-install writeup. So if anyone has good pictures from their lift install (or maybe you're planning to install your lift soon), you may want to think about doing a writeup to help the rest of the community!

I thought about it while I was doing my AirRide to Z71 Spring conversion + BDS lift with MarkMC 1/2" spacers, but decided against it. AirRide is mostly a Denali/SS package, and just don't see a write-up getting much attention. The lift instructions (BDS at least) were clear enough that it would have been extremely redundant. And I was running out of time and didn't get many pictures... :wallbash:

True, their instructions are pretty good. I wonder if we can cross post their content with them 'sponsoring' the article. Hmmmmm.

But seriously, if anyone has article ideas, let me know!

Just for you Steve:

1. Acquire desired rear axle.

2. Acquire beer. Lots of beer. Preferably amber or dark varieties.

3. Drive to Vancouver.

4. Arrive at Fishstick's house. Offer him beer.

5. Watch in amazement as your rear axle is swapped. Offer to take part in swap if you desire.

Just make sure you get a pre-'06 axle... otherwise your ABS won't work properly.

im a bit swamped with some new projects from work. But I should have a fair amount of photos from my lift install. i believe I even made a write about it already on the OS but I will have to look.

If you would like the picks James, should I email them to you?

I'll locate my install notes, which are fairly detailed, and size the bolts involved. I have no install pics though.

For that we can all post our pictures and then just get the pictures from various trucks
This is an aggressive post. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate a post of this quality and depth.
