Just because I buried a cargo container in my backyard doesn't make me a weirdo.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

If your kid gets hurt by his house they might not make it back, you're not wandering if you are near this house it's a all out hike, he doesn't have neighbors, I think he is sitting on about 1K acres.

Unfortunately I don't know the guy, just know of him, guy at work has been to his house once.

JamesDowning wrote:Trees provide nice cammo for a breach team. But I guess we can assume this guy has motion sensors or fences hidden in the woods behind and beside the house.

Zombies don't have breach teams, they just kinda run into shit until it gives!

Now the Police might be a different story, but not really worth the danger of attacking him, he just deals in stocks and owns a company that installs fiber-optic cable.

Well, I guess I was working off the assumption that the word zombie was the colloquial term for "end of world scenario". It's just easier to say, and has less gravity to it. There are lots of "zombie" scenarios that don't include actual living dead.

This is correct. "Zombies" are any possible group of people who are dead, but don't know it yet. This could be any number of possible people or groups. It's just better than saying that you're preparing to shoot whoever comes to your door to confiscate your guns or steal your child or in some way do you harm.

What the hell did I start?! Say zombie, one time, and everyone goes crazy.

Edit: Well, technically, Roadie said zombie.

At the rate we're going, its only a matter of time til "zombie" becomes a censored word or gets edited with a disclaimer from Roadie

The thick forest is a double edge sword. It blocks vehicles and heavy machinery and creates a buffer around your house, but it is also cover/concealment for foot mobiles. Personally an open buffer around the house would be preferable. And than supplement the woods with fences or vehicle barriers. I sort of have a plan for a piece of property. :zombie:

Being secure/prepared doesn't make you a freak or weird. extended power outages and natural disasters occur somewhat frequently in this country. Being able to ride the event out without the need for outside aide and providing protection from possible looters or whatever is just a bonus. It doesn't all have to be about government invasions and zombie Apocalypse. Being prepared to a certain degree for natural events to me, is just common sense. :shoot:

This, personally, would be my least favorite option. Gives any would be baddie the option to snipe you, from the woods, as soon as you come out of your dwelling. All they have to do is wait. That's if I'm understanding you, correctly. There may be more to your plan, that I'm just not seeing.
