Raft Idea

Discussion on how to enjoy the outdoors.

by CHIEF BIG RIDGE » Fri Aug 31, 2012 10:45 am

I just found this sweet idea while browsing the inter webs. When I saw it I automatically sent it to my buddies and we are totally planning to do this next summer. I think we are going to start planning and possibly start making the raft this weekend. I'll keep y'all updated and post progress pics.

Got any more pics? That just looks like some dudes camping on the end of a crappy dock...

Still a cool idea, just do ot without looking like homeless guys :camping:

cool idea, I think I would rig an overhead tarp to stay out of the rain/sun.

This is the only one I could find and now that you say that it does look like a dock... :?

But why would they put a grill in the middle like that? That's why I think it's a raft.

My buddy said that same thing. I was thinking we could make the posts higher and add some hooks to the top for a tarp if needed. But if we were going to do this I wouldn't want to go if it was going to rain. I'd like to see some stars :D

Even if it is a dock, it is still a cool idea for a raft.
Now that Rory mentions it, I would expect there to be more ripples coming from a raft than what you see.

Just the dampness from the morning dew would get you pretty wet around here.

They must just be on a private lake... I can't imagine taking that down a river.
