Raft Idea

I just found this sweet idea while browsing the inter webs. When I saw it I automatically sent it to my buddies and we are totally planning to do this next summer. I think we are going to start planning and possibly start making the raft this weekend. I'll keep y'all updated and post progress pics.

cool idea, I think I would rig an overhead tarp to stay out of the rain/sun.

This is the only one I could find and now that you say that it does look like a dock...
But why would they put a grill in the middle like that? That's why I think it's a raft.

My buddy said that same thing. I was thinking we could make the posts higher and add some hooks to the top for a tarp if needed. But if we were going to do this I wouldn't want to go if it was going to rain. I'd like to see some stars

Even if it is a dock, it is still a cool idea for a raft.
Now that Rory mentions it, I would expect there to be more ripples coming from a raft than what you see.
