So a couple of weeks ago my roommate's friend came here to spend his spring break and we decided to go camping to the same place we camped during the Prescott Rally. An awesome place to camp, and it's not too far away from here (it takes about an hour or so to get there, including 15 mins of highway).

We also took the Cadillac, but, I considered the Chino Valley - Perkinsville stretch of road too easy, so the Caddy took that route, and I went north to Drake and then took the Drake-Perkinsville stretch of the road. In worse conditions (recent rain + heavy traffic) and still had a few water crossings.

Here are some of the pictures, and I had a friend take some pictures of me crossing the water

You might be able to see the new antenna bracket I'm designing and improving (the aluminium thing on the rack side rails)

Cool looking pictures!

Just a word of caution... Be careful not to take a crossing like that too fast... you may end up like BigBadBowTie (on trailvoy) and water lock the engine!

Oh yeah I remember that one. I think this one looks more deep and dramatic than it really was, but it seems like they do close the road when it gets bad to prevent people from doing really stupid things, this probably includes some people who looked like tourists in a CA-regd HHR I saw during an earlier trip driving on that road, I think they had no idea what they were doing, as the water crossings were worse and there were more of them. But then again, these Arizona creeks are called ditches everywhere else. Apparently the road becomes a river right by the CEMEX CV concrete plant (not to be confused with Drake Cement) and is completely unpassable unless you have a very decent vehicle

I count 5 antenna's including our standard am/fm radio antenna. What equipment are you running?

IC-208H 2M (sits in the trunk so I don't have to go all theway to the front seats to use a radio), IC-2200H 2M mounted to the front console, Cobra 19 DXIV CB. One of the antennas is not connected to anything (just testing the bracket structure to make sure it works), I might connect it later this week once the bracket design is finalized.
