So the first weekend of the semester was a long one, and having pretty much nothing to do me and my friends ended up taking the dirt road to Jerome. While the original plan was to take the TB and only 5 people, but a friend said that that was going to be horrible and so he decided to take his STS and a total of 7 people.
We had lunch in Jerome (The Haunted Hamburger, definitely a good place to eat) and then returned to Prescott. The Cadillac people decided to take the highway back, and we took the dirt road with some extra stops to take pictures. We went all the way to the Verde Canyon Railroad tracks and then back.

This time we traveled on the regular / decent road, Perkinsville Rd / Jerome-Perkinsville Rd. I plan on later taking the Narrow Gauge Rd, which as far as I know is the old railroad bed and it eventually connects with Jerome-Perkinsville Rd, but that will be later (and I have to see if that road is not on private property).

I'll post the maps once I draw the route.

And here are the pictures from Jerome Junction, the original railroad station

Some cool scenery, but reminds me of the roads I drive everytime I go to the parents. I need to pop some pics of the landmarks we used to backroad to weekely.

Definitely looks like an interesting area... I bet there's a ton of land to explore out there.

Did the caddy take the limited use road with you? If so, that warning sign didn't mean much eh?

Oh yeah, plenty of land. There's a lot of ranching north of Prescott and mining south/east of Prescott (only a few mines remain operative though). We're on the limits of Prescott NF and there's 2 more NF's less than 3 hours away (Tonto and Coconino).

Yeah the caddy took that road with me on the way to Jerome, but not on the way back. The driver said that he took the sign as a challenge (like many other times).
