We could probably do a sign up now, it would probably have to be handled as a zero tolerance for banter to keep it simple though.
We're likely gonna want an itinerary to give people.

We're also likely going to need a bullshit discussion thread for it so people can ask questions and get answers (both of which will likely require an itinerary).

I know Rory had been looking at trails, I'm sure Bill has some thoughts, the suggestions I made last page could likely be split up into two days and we could camp along the trail somewhere since it appears to be around 11 hours for completion.

While 5 months seems like plenty of time, it's really not.

5 months to get your truck in order for the most grueling test of it's endurance.

I dunno Mike, I can't even get a yay or nay on the one or two days I proposed. lol

I can propose more options too, but if I can't get a response to the original idea I don't see what the point in making more suggestions is.

To be honest I thought we would of likely had this hammered out last month.

Same, I was kind of busy most of the last month, and things are starting to slow down a bit for me to have more time. I've been trying to pick up a new programming language, so spending my evenings learning rather than researching or posting.

I am fine with your initial suggestions. Really surprised there has been no further discussion, especially from the folks who planted the seeds.

I've been trying to plan a route using traildamage.com but it doesn't seem to be working, anyone else been on there recently getting errors? Currently looking over maps from NPS.gov.

Should we at least post the permits that will be needed for the most part and plan a meeting place so people can start to plan on going?

Strike Ravine 4x4 Trail is one I've been looking at today, it is rated difficult but doesn't seem to bad, one source says a aggressive stock vehicle can do it. This would only be about a half day trail at best. Maybe put this in with the easy Picture Frame Arch 4x4 Road for a full days ride. Start out with picture frame as a warm up trail then cross over 191 to Strike Ravine, find a camp area near by or back in Moab. I guess the trails we do with dictate if we basecamp or camp and go, this day would work out good to go back to a base.

I like the idea of strike ravine and the arch Rory, I can definitely see that working out.
