So we headed down on the 4/2/12, Monday morning. Once we arrived we ran Hells Revenge, then setup camp at Slickrock Campground.

Tuesday was Kane Creek in the AM, followed by Steel Bender in the afternoon. The EJS run was on that trail and we caught some of the guys from Eaton with a rear axle problem. They borrowed some tools, and then we followed them out with a jeep in front wheel drive. That made for getting back to town after dark.

Wednesday was a long day! We started on Poison Spider, where we caught a large group of trucks on a full size run. We worked are way past them and moved on to the Golden Spike trail. Along the Golden Spike we ran the optional Where Eagles Dare trail, before continuing on to the Golden Crack. We caught a group of JKs at the crack, waited for them to get across, before we passed that group as well. We finished out the series of trails with Gold Bar Rim.

Thursday and Friday were pretty lazy days, just being tourists and checking out stuff at the Vendor Show, and Potato Salad Hill. I ran the Potato on Thursday night a couple times without any issues.

Carnage:

Bent drivers knuckle, cracked frame at steering box, couple other minor issues that have already been fixed. Overall a wonderful trip!

Sounds like fun!

Figured it would eventually happen about the frame at the steering box... 1-tons have that issue, so figured it would have to be reinforced at some point...

Mine is plated both sides, but I need to add hydro assist to take the strain off. The force was enough to bend a knuckle, so it doesn't surprise me our thin frame failed where the plating ended.

The USA star and "official use only" on the Yota is funny and all but IMO doesn't belong on there. I'm a "MADE IN AMERICA" guy and i feel the only thing the toyota should be officially doing is burning rice in Japan. Not to undermine its offroad capability or anything. It has more capability than my truck as they sit and i respect that, just not for me. My $.02

But anyway, Nice pictures and great trip!

Toyota didn't exactly build that toyota that way, and made in america currently rules out just about everything.

If this discussion goes any further it should become a seperate topic.

Love the pics! I'll have to ask my Uncle if he saw your TB down there, you might have seen him at the Warn booth.
The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

Awesome pics, I went to the end and viewed backwards.
Now we see why you need such an awesome rig.
I'll have to say though your tires look skinny on that big rig!
