It's been a couple weeks since we went out last, but I just am getting to doing a write up on it. My buddy Lightning and I decided to go around on some of the old mining roads around Leadville to test out his new (old) Jeep. He is the one who went onto Birdseye Gulch with me, but got turned around do to size issues. A week later he went out and bought a locked up CJ7 on 35's running 5.13 gears. I'm not going to do too much documentation because I really don't know where we were at, but I do have pictures to show, so here it is...

was your jeep buddy trying to push over a dead tree in one of those pics? Loggers don't call them "widow makers" for nothing.

Beautiful area! The only time I was in CO I had a Chrysler Crossfire Convertible rental car. We didn't get very far off road

Id like to find some trail rides like that around here. Most of Prentice Cooper is mud holes, which dont get me wrong are fun, just PITA to clean after lol.

I'm just far enough in that most hurricanes just sent me storms and wind but not the full force, but we get hammer every so often.

Irene was heading straight for use but turned to just brush the coast.

Clean after mud holes? I consider mud natures cleansing and rain her car wash...although a god underbody scrub can get tedious...
