2 months to prepare for a 1000 mile roadtrip...may be doable.

Thanks for locking something in Rory

Has been every time. Plus the 100 or so in the woods. It's a bit of a haul and some fuel money.

Shit, I should be good. I need to finish my bumper and skids and finally install my lift.

Yup, I think I may have to go.

This is a reminder to newer guys, this trip isn't a hardcore wheeling trip. It will tax your suspension a bit on the rutted dirt roads, but overall its not bad. We used to say that you just need a lift, some A/Ts or M/Ts, and some camping gear.

For those that don't know the format, its generally a three-day, two night off-grid trip. Although, we're close enough to civilization that you can bug out at any time, which some people have taken advantage of in the past.

It can be relaxing trip for experienced wheelers, and a good introductory trip for first-timers, with exciting bits for everyone.

Here's a video of the last event we held, it was a good time. (Don't get scared by the portion with the big rock ledge, its an optional thing.)

I'm out. Got entirely too much to do before baby #2 comes mid-summer, not to mention trying to save vacation time. (with the week I took off in January with a strained back muscle and the almost week I've taken off, combined with the sicknesses going around this winter... Yay toddler in daycare!)

Picked up a 16ft trailer so I can pull the crappy g80 and weld the gears, the TrailBlazer has it's own chariot to tote it around!

So how are plans progressing for everyone? Are we getting confident and close enough to start a list? I am in. The Voy has a new engine, trans, and transfer case and is ready to go. I need to work out a new roof rack, after forcefully removing my last on a tree. A few other odds and ends to clean up / add and it will be back to its former glory!

We had better spread the word about this. Is Robert not coming?? What about some of the other local VA people?

Probably not James I got summoned for jury duty that week. So unless I get let go early I most likely won't be there.
