On October 17th near Oakland MD I'm looking to see if anyone is interested in going on a trail ride in western maryland on October 17th around 10 am. It'll probably be Savage River state park or potomac state forest. They are by oakland md. For this you will either need a ORV permit or a licenced car from Maryland and hold a current hunting or fishing license. You can easily obtain a orv permit at the maryland dnr offices. There is more info on the maryland dnr website.

Sounds like fun. Noone from this site has been out that way in a while. Last time we hit up Green Ridge State Park, we had a run in with the DNR for accidentally hitting a closed trail that was not otherwise indicated as closed. Make sure you hit only marked and mapped trails out there, the Maryland DNR are serious.

Are you from around there? And could this still happen? Just kinda getting into the whole offroad scene and I'm from central Maryland but my family goes out there sometimes and I'd love to do some wheeling out there and maybe tie it together with some snowboarding at Wisp while I'm up there.
