You don't 'need' skids for this. I have the 2inch lift, 32's, and by picking careful lines I only touched the frame once or twice. I only have the stock oil skid plate and I never felt too worried.

My girlfriends father wants to go in his ford ranger. I explained to him that we try to keep it under 7ish trucks and forum memebers have priority. He requested off for work. We'll see as we get closer how many trucks we end up with committed.

To be clear, I didn't invite him. And it doesn't make a difference to me if he goes or doesn't. If push comes to shove I know enough trails and campsites, we can do our own thing while were downt there and rendezvous at camp or whatever.
But we're still 9 weeks out so plenty of time for things to change.
