The climb to Meadow Knob. JD in front of me.
At 5:18, the climb was steep enough to where i couldn't see the ground when it leveled and half my truck went into the ditch, gave me a mini heart attack.

ROFL!!!

I felt so cool thinking I was the first member to wheel with both the founders, until James rained on my parade and informed me one of our Canadian members beat me to it.

I am still working through my video and photos from the trip. Unfortunately, my video working drive is full at the moment, so it may be until the weekend that I can do some editing.

In the meantime, here is the result of the time lapse shot on the first night. I forgot to turn off the auto focus on the lens, but otherwise it turned out pretty good. Watch it in 1080p if you can...

Thanks!

I was pleasantly surprised that is for sure. There were a couple of steps that I usually do (manual aperture, manual shutter speed) that I didn't do this time. But it worked out. Really wish I had at least set the lens to manual though. It is what it is!

It wasn't that bad, but I don't think there were any warm feet in the bunch Friday night.

That first night wasn't bad at all, took a few minutes to get the sleeping bag warmed up, but after that I was completely comfortable. My feet stayed cool, but I coulda put on socks and remedied the issue.
As long as the fire staid rippin and roarin it was pretty comfortable by the fire, it only got shitty when we didn't keep a healthy supply of wood fed to the pit, throwing some more fuel on the fire remedied it within a couple minutes. 17 degrees sounds worse than it is with a big fire and a good sleeping bag.
