Yup, two of my friends have the DJI Phantom 2, and I've been considering getting one myself and probably will when I get closer to my next road trip, the gimbal on those is really nice and they seem easy enough to control, although I have heard stories of them just flying away to never be seen again.

Called it! Been messing around the the DJ 2 for two months now. I love the iPad base station and the ability to pre plan the routes. Just remember it can't see the tree branches.

Yeah, the H3-2D + FPV Downlink = hella epic shots. I've been getting looks everytime I mention it from the wife, lol.

Yeah, another $400 investment is too much I think. I'm considering just getting a cheap $100 gimbal. The shots I got were good, just a bit too much motion from the quad balancing itself.

I've worked every day since I got back and now I'm in Atlanta and my dumb self didn't bring my netbook, I'll try to get some more posted Monday or Tuesday. Photobucket isn't as easy to bulk upload as it use to be.

Not yet, working and plumbing issues have me too busy, front bathroom waits until I have the other one completely gutted to start having plumbing issues! Old houses suck sometimes.

I've been slowly sorting through the video, but other things have been a priority lately. Might have another chance to work through some of it later this week... maybe.

Wish I had taken more video of nature... the video will need some breaks in the action. I'll have to keep that in mind next time.
