I'm also considering the Potts Mountain trail system. Apparently one of the more difficult public trail systems in the region.

Found a trail video from last year, from what I watched looks like you need sliders.

Looks pretty fantastic. My understanding is that most of the hardcore spots have bypasses.

Might only be one day of hard wheeling, but that's probably pretty good for a Saturday. I found another potentially good area. My big challenge is finding 2 full days of good wheeling close together that can act as a continuous route, like the stuff up near Hburg.

I'd be open to trying this Potts Mountain Trail. According to Google Maps, it's actually a touch closer for me.

There seems to be a few trails in the area. I need to get out there and explore it before leading a large group through it blind. I'd at least like to have a recommendation of the mods required.

So is there some agreement - postpone TECORE 11 from the originally laid out July timeframe, plan a recon trip somewhere in July, and then hold the actual event later, aug or sept. Thoughts?

I agree with delaying the trip. Gives me a bit more wiggle room to get needed maint/mods done. If i can't get a front diff worked out, i won't be attending... Plus i'd like to have my truck with as many mods done so i can test them for my adventure.

later in August or Sept would work better for me as far as dates.
We usually do vacation around the week of 8/3 or sometimes the week of 8/11.
I'm planning on being there!
Now that I have a spare truck, I can allow the TB to be down for several days as needed to install parts and get the PCM tuned.

The only major date hurdle in aug or sept is the western trip that some of the east coasters are involved with. We can attempt to work our weekend into the western plans, or we can try to choose a weekend that works for those individuals outside of the western trip. Any opinions from those guys?

25th-27th is probably ideal given what we've seen in the poll, beyond that would be interesting given the big Utah event. But if everything goes wrong I may not be able to make that either... i don't even have any expectations anymore.

July is out for me sadly. As mentioned before, I am looking for a new trail system to check out. T11 will be postponed from the July timeframe and we will aim at Aug or Sept... or maybe late Oct/early Nov. Sorry.

Mike, you good with driving a bit further down towards the Roanoke area? Supposedly a good trail down here that I'll check out once I get the front gears in.

So now that the dates are moved, I'm out.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

C'mon Mike. You wont dont have the prospect of any time off in 2 months worth of dates?

Yup! (Assuming you were referring to me.)

I love a good road trip. A few weekends ago I clocked close to 1000 miles of driving. And a few years ago I clocked in over 2500 miles in 3 days of just random driving through New England because I was burned out from work.

So the 200ish to Roanoake is no problem at all.
