Dan (02_Chevy) You'll want a good tent/tarp. Good sleeping bag. Warm clothes. Food water. You can bum a stove off us if you dont have one. Bring your tools and recovery gear that you have, firearm if you wish (camping in bear country and such) . No need for extra fuel, we've never came close to needing it. Mid-day saturday there is a chance to fuel up. A camp chair, tire pressure gauge, drinks and cigars, a good attitude and a desire for adventure.

Consider this a test in your self reliance. Think of this as backpacking with your truck. Bring what you think you'll need. If you get out there and need something, and don't have it. We wont leave you hanging.

hope you can make it.

Thanks man i really appriciate the info! I just started working my second job twice as much to get some money for the trip, doin all i can

Sweet! I have been trying to get out to that area to explore, but something always seems to come up...

As I said, there are three options. From the north is easish, it's off of rt30. From the southwest is easier, but possibly a longer trip. From the east is not recommended alone.

I'm not sure we will go by there this time. I always hate stopping, makes it feel like much less of an adventure.

James are you suggesting to carry some extra fuel?

if you have the ability to safely transport spare fuel, go ahead and do it. If not, I'm sure some of us with external jerry mounts will be willing to donate some fuel if really needed.

No, I'm saying, we tend to be overly cautious. "Oh no, I'm at 60% fuel... I should fill up." and we always end at like 3/4 of a tank if we fill. Seems like a waste to me. I know the earlier year 360s with the smaller fuel tanks are the biggest risk, but the risk is pretty low with so many guys out there.

We'll check the situation on Saturday. If we need fuel, we will get it. If not, we will press on. I've never ran out on the 10 prior trips.

Good call. Yes, walmart, near the fuel pumps. Be ready to go, do your walmart supply shopping before the appointed hour. The appointed hour will be 10am if everyone is ok with that.

I have actually been a maybe for a while now. Heating season is getting here and work is busy, working 6-7 days a week and have not had any time to fix my truck or even order parts for that matter. I suck I know.

Like I said before, I'll be late in coming. I'd appreciated if someone could PM me a phone number incase something goes wrong en-route to the camping site. Outside of that, I won't have armor but I am not too worried. This sounds like it will be a great weekend and I look forward to meeting everybody.

I'm likely out. My gear install isn't going as planned and I'm not sure I will have time to get everything finished and broke in before the trip.
We still hope to get the rear finished tomorrow....I'll have to see how it goes.
