Ok. What about stuff in the bead of my wheel? I would think less pressure would have made that worse.

My tie rod bent on an extraction. I know right when it happened and doubt tire pressure had much to do with it. I struggled with the hill climb entirely because of power, or rather the lack of. All day Sunday I ran with 50% power because of significant transmission slip. I aired down to 18 on Saturday and had a tire spin a bead and go flat. I had to air up to loan out the truck for recovery on Saturday night, and was to lazy/frozen to do it on Sunday.

Kyle is thinking along the same lines as I am. Sounds like Matt knows where the tre broke though.

Yep. That's part of the tradeoffs.

Part of my annoyance with radflos topping out was likely due to having full psi. I did not have the extra softness of the tire where you n Matt did.

I did like the full PSI when dropping down the rock garden cause of needing all the ground clearance possible.

I feel lower psi has more advantages while some like higher psi. You should research the attributes of each n figure what works for you.

It doesn't offer any more extension than stock (because if it did, it would over-extend the CVs), so that's to be expected.

I think the big takeaway is the increased damping, and the increased spring rate helps prevent the frame from impacting as hard or as much due to less spring compression distance after coming off a bump.

You get that. The damping is much better. I just think I expected more from the previous reviews. Offroad they thunk rather than bang but either is annoying. They are nicer and our best option currently, I just had too high of expectations from the stuff I read. They do stop on road topping out and greatly smooth out small things but not as much improvement offroad as I had thought would be there.

The only better thing that I like about them at Badlands is spring rate and damping rate (the digressive valving doesn't come into play nearly as much when you're going Badlands speeds). Where they really, really shine is like at TECORE, going fast down fire trails and stuff, soaking up bumps. The faster you go, the more-better they are than OEM style struts and springs.

And yes, they won't be any more resistant to topping out. I don't get a lot of topping out, because I'm not nearly as close to topping out at resting height as you are.

Yep... "airing down" for me, with my setup, is 25-30psi, depending on how loaded down I am. I've got 245/70-17 10-ply BFG AT tires, so I don't have any trouble gripping rocks even at 30PSI, but I am somewhat more ground clearance limited than those with larger tires. Because of this, I tend to trade height that I do need for traction that I don't need as much.

Yep. Chased some deer down the main trail. Did pretty good there.

Sorry. StaceySS has been getting ready for her wedding instead of posting pics. She has some good stuff but it will probably be a while still.
Matt... who has video of my doughnuts? It felt awesome but I want to see what it looked like.

The doughnuts after the 1/2 ton beat you in the drag race?

Yep. Old beat up 1/2 ton. LOL It didn't surprise me. I don't come off the line very hard at all. About 20mph it pulls much harder.

At least Erik did the obstacles. All the pictures I have of you are poser pictures, seeing as how you went around the bad obstacles.

Please explain what i went around when yall were following me?

I did not go up the wall in the quarry I have done dozens of times and I have never done the long hill climbs in the sand like yall did cause I personally find them silly.

Would love to know what I actually went around?

I ended up as the only one to run the rock garden and green trail with the Jeeps cause yall peeled off back to the cabin while we were deciding which way to go.

Actually I was really hoping to just see more pics and video! You guys had a lot of cool trucks out there, I wanna see em! That video wink put together was nice.

Are there any videos of Eriks drag race? That shit would be hilarious to see.

Erik told me on TECORE that my truck would probably beat him through first gear.

If it was Shoda he drag raced, Shoda has a cam and an exhaust. I'd believe the results, but video would still be hilarious to see.
