TREC is Trail Racing Endurance Circuit
a.k.a. FOOT TO THE FLOOR - AVOID THAT TREE - FLY THROUGH THE AIR - KEEP IT ON AT LEAST TWO WHEELS RACE!
TREC started in 2009 and was the first series to bring desert style off road racing to the midwest!

Sounds perfect for Moots!

Um... A race, as well? When there are races there, a lot of the park ends up closed. Maybe we pick a different weekend?

I like the idea of it being a race weekend as well. Since were going to be there for two days it should give plenty of time to wheel as well as be able to watch the races.

You're right. It only takes you 1/2 hour to break the truck, so what are you going to do for the rest of the weekend, otherwise? :finger: :poke:

Yeah, I had thought about that, as well. There's some wheeling around to watch the race on Saturday, then Sunday would be free.

Turns out that I'll be up in Canada next week Tues-Sat, and the week after "until it's done" so it may be that I'm home in time to get there for Saturday, as well. I'll keep updated.

I called the Badlands. First... Only about 10% of the active park is affected by the race. They have built a closed track now. The race is from noon until 2pm. Secondly... On race weekend we will be allowed to drive on the closed track! Also the first 700 get free Tshirts and free food!

I'm putting myself down as a tentative ride a long. Jason actually suggested it first. Than I played around on google maps and discovered a route that actually save toll money and hardly increases time/distance for Jason to come through State College, Pa and pick my butt up.

I'm seriously considering this. It's one of those once in a life time things that I'll kick myself for skipping out on the opportunity. For a chance to see everyone again, see a few new states I've never been through, and see badlands in person, i think I gotta make this. New experiences is what college is all about, right?

I talked to Shoda this afternoon. He will be there provided the Federal Government pays him on the 15th. Dave, you very well may get to see a full size truck actually wheel! :raspberry:

Be there bout 5 on Friday until sometime Sunday...not sure how long Sunday because there are a couple things the wife wants me to do, but trying to work it out to stay most of day.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

I'm still looking good for Sunday. Looking like we'll get back from Canada around 8PM on Saturday, then I'll pick up the trailer and load the TB up, go to bed, and head out there first thing Sunday morning. Don't know yet about my coworker.

Coworker is out. His wife is leaving Sunday, so he has his infant son for 4 days. He's out for Saturday, as well, because he has to get a course on how to take care of his son, even though he does 1/2 of it all the time, anyway.
