I just got in. I cut the sidewall of my 10ply BFG's on a rock. The same obstacle that claimed Mario's G80. Put my spare on and completed the rest of Tecore. On the last 15 miles of my trip home, my truck picked up a wicked vibration/wobble. After I parked at school, I crawled under the truck to look. Couldn't find anything obvious. The ball joints look good, tie rods are really tight. Didn't see anything obviously wrong with the tires (no bubbles or broken cords, no missing wheel weights) Tried to wiggle the rear drive shaft and it was super tight. When I have more time I need to jack the truck up and spin the rear drive shaft and check the wheel hubs.
The wobble got so bad, rolling along at 15 mph I could see the front of the truck shaking back and forth. i tried putting it in neutral while rolling down a hill and it still wobbled. Hopefully it is something I can fix in the parking lot.
When I first realized how bad it was, I cringed and expected the hear the bang clunk clunk of the rear drive shaft coming apart and smacking the bed.
Otherwise I had a great time. Meeting the first timers and seeing them have a blast is always fun. Taking shit from everyone about my truck is even better.
