I think Dave meant the bs talker Moots.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Maybe that was the wrong word, we'll see. I think it will be better overall, but I also cut a lot of content.

More or less, yea.

It'll be alright

Do I take it from James posts that a lot of the footage ends up in the editing room floor?
I imagine whatever it ends up being will be nice, a lot of the footage would probably be kind of dull to watch since there's a good bit filmed that was recovery/ accident prevention related.

Looks like a great trip - wish I could have made it out there.

Do you have a list of the trails you took? I recognize a few of the trails but most of them I have not seen.

We took old 33 to an unnamed "secret" out-and-back trail ... then we went up flagpole via union springs, camped on meadow, stopped by flagpole, then went down skidmore fork. From there, we went up long run, then down a little of second mountain, and camped along vepco road, then retraced our route up vepco out.

Sounds like a good loop. Will have to look out for Second Mountain and Vepco Rd...

Not going to ask about the "secret" out-and-back, but I am definitely curious!

Its not really a secret. Its unmarked, but its also not blocked off. Relatively little traffic back there because its not on any maps. It has a good rock climb at the end, and we got mixed up in a new mud pit about halfway up it.

Vepco is similar to long run, and essentially parallels it. Its not too rough (rougher than long run maybe), but it does traverse some nice scenery, with lots of little diversion trails and good places to camp. (think: vepco = virginia electric power co). 2nd mountain is right next to dictum.

Still waiting on Jame's video....

And if anyone has anything (pictures/video) of my truck that hasn't made it up here yet, If you could link me to it, that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Another pic I hadn't uploaded yet.

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get more pics on this trip. It's easier to get pics when you're the passenger and disabled lol
I'll make sure I keep a real camera handy for the fall trip.

I know I can go overboard with pictures and video and whatever and hold up the train or not pay attention to other things that I should be during the trip..., but at the same time, if you don't get that undefined quantity that is "enough", then you feel like you wished you would have taken more time to shoot pictures. As I've said before, it's a difficult balance... and I'm certainly not good at it.

I say, more filming next time! Lol. Seriously, the video came out well.

Course, I also say more wheeling next time too. :) Gives ample opportunity for more filming that way.

I feel the same way, on TECORE 7 Josh and I took 700 pictures, On TECORE 8 I took 40 pictures.

I wish I took more video and pictures too, but at the time, I was focusing on having fun and not on the camera.

We DID get to camp a tad early both nights... and some of you DID go to bed a bit early both nights... that's all wasting potential wheeling and filming time on the trails.
