DON'T SHOW UP WITH BALD TIRES FOR A SNOW RUN AND EXPECT TO WHEEL! Not only is it impractical, but can also make a dangerous situation for you and those around you.

Snow is fun until it gets in your shoe... Or until your stuck in it by yourself, at 8000ft, 5 hours walk from the nearest road...

I've had fun running in the snow. Course I didn't go alone and we stuck to our plan and turned around when we ran out of time rather than keep pushing down the trail. Still had plenty of daylight, but didn't want to get broke down and not be able to get out before dark.

It's also a lot easier to clean off than mud.

The event is just too far away for me, otherwise I would consider it.
