I will get this started. Had a good time out today. Good to meet some new people. Glad the weather wasn't too bad.

I never thought I'd see a confederate flag on this site.

That place looks very well kept; I wish there was someplace like that where I live.

Yeah... and who had a confederate flag in NJ? NJ is a yankee state... haha!

Looks like a lot of fun guys! Where were you exactly? Have an approximate GPS coordinate?

Next time I'll try to make it out. It's a bit of a drive for me though... I think about 2.5 hours each way...

GPS? nah, we hide behind our smog and pollution so satalites cant find us. We dont like people.

Wharton state forest. Its a huge 200k acre forest in south central jersey, youl find it on any map. Take I-95 up into NJ and get off at exit 7, that puts you on 206 south. Follow that for about 30-45min and youll see trails and ranger stations and campsites everywhere.

Im gonna start loadin some pics, hopefully i dont fall asleep.

Looks like I missed another good run. Sucks being On-Call and actually having something come up... :shoot:

I see some hills and terrain that we didn't see last time... looks like fun! When is the next trip? I'm thinking a Saturday morning? Hopefully a Saturday that I'm not On-Call...

Write up of Brendan & My Final Trails:

Well after we all split up Brendan and I decided to keep going. We went to some more trails that I know of south of the Atison trail head. Since the water table was quite high and these trails were in a lower lying area, we hit some of the deepest water i've experienced. It was water crossing after water crossing, and we both had water get on the hood going through properly while keeping a good slow speed. We follwed the trail for about 20 minutes until we hit a spot that looked deep and ominous where i could tell we'd have problems making it through.

When I add my spacers up front and armor plate more of my underbelly, I wanna' go back to Mt Jemima the opposite way we came in. Head through the trails we ran that don't exist on the topos or gps so we can go up that steep hill we went down. I want a go at that main deeply rutted hill too. With the extra lift and armor, I'll feel more confident making it up there without bottoming out too bad. Wish I had 33's.

Here's a couple of shots of the hill in question. . .

In retrospect, I should have taken that incline. I probably would have made it up on the first shot. Yes, everyone, a lot deeper than they look. But those ruts were really sketchy. I suppose next time someone will have to be ready to pull me back down if I get stuck. ;)

There are a couple of good videos on youtube of it, and I've seen some of them before. Which is why i said i didn't think we'd make it... the easier section to the left of the badly rutted area was doable and the left side as well (afterthought). And most of the guys doing the harder area were in rigs with more articulation than us with 35's.

Reminds me of that hill at TECORE I. One of those things that almost certainly requires a G80. :poke:

Kinda but it was at least twice the hieght and the ruts were alot deeper... probably woulda needed body lift and at least full tread 33's.
