Dont look like any water up the mt. It's next to lake broyhill. Haven't been there before.

Are you lookin to hit water ? If so, there's a water crossing over the batso river off quaker bridge not far fron the atson entrance.

I've heard on the road past the lake theres some water, and no I'd rather stay away from deep water, to much to worry about right now... not having 4x4 and all...

Looks to me like we could Start off at Atsion, take Quaker bridge rd to the crossing, maybe skew off for some mud, and jump back on Quaker Bridge/ Sandy Ridge Rd. Looks like a right on Devious Mt Rd would take us down to Jemima Mt Rd. The other side of the Quaker bridge is where we hit some of the sketchy water last time. I am obviously not as familiar as some of you, and these online maps can't predict what the weather has done, but I'd like to stay safe. I'm sure we can find fun without getting in too much trouble. Plenty of time in the day. :flex dirty:

I've also heard that Quaker is one of only two bridges that isn't out.

Hey Bobby, whats the chacnes of it being an issue if my friend was to bring his quad? Its a 450 Kodiak utility. He would like too and Foosh and I figured it would be a good idea as an expidition leader chechking water depths ect but any issues with da policee up there with people riding quads? If so, no biggie i got room inside, just figured itd be fun and something different.

I guess it would be cool. Will a quad hold us up ? There may be a portion of black top we might have to roll on between trails like last time Bot, Mario, Dan and myself were there. I don't know alot about quads and their capabilities. I have seen a few dirtbikes there and they have their own trails.

Any other thoughts ? Search youtube for quads at wharton state forest then you will know for sure.

Were you drunk when you typed that? :poke: Or do you just not proof-read what you type?

Honestly, I hate encountering quads on trails. They are so darn noisy, and all they do is tear up the place.

And I'd bet they are not allowed. In most states the only area quads are allowed are designated OHV trails. For an area like Wharton, I'd bet it's "registered" vehicles only. I know this is true for VA, MD, and PA. I assume NJ is the same.

Hey it is a proven fact that when your drunk, you type with perfect spelling and grammer... Here at Rutgers the best papers are written between 4 and 6 am after a night out.

Decide a meeting place yet? At 206 & Cramer Rd., there is a Sunoco, Subway, and Dunkin Donuts. Doesn't look like Sunoco has a mini mart. Just north of that is the Valero we gassed up at last time. Other than those, I only know of the Wawa where we met last time, or the trail entrance itself. Unless we are planning to use a different entrance, etc etc.

Its best to meet a place where we can fill up... the Valero is a good spot as its pretty close to the one trail head we took last time. The Dunkin Donuts before it is great too, cause we can get COFFEE!!!!! Then we can stop at Valero

Google tells me 59min travel time, which is probably pretty accurate. We meet 10:45-11:00ish and there should be no reason why we aren't on the trails by 11:30, even taking time to outline a skeleton route on the topos. If you guys want earlier, I can do that too.

OK, so how about we set up a meeting time of 10:30? Should give everyone enough time to get there, fuel up, get some java and munchkins :excited: , and go over the maps before we get rolling.
