Day one- Friday

Hit the road at 3am, loaded and ready to roll.... Turn around and get my phone I left at house, hit the road again at 3:15am.
We stopped in New Bern for breakfast and gas then on to Davis to catch ferry.
Set up camp at the Rock Jetty

The little cold snap we had last week cooled off the water and hurt the fishing big time. Mostly Sharks and Stingrays.

Awesome pictures man. That shipwreck is very cool to look at! I find that stuff so neat. Also your truck is looking great. I like the red.

We stayed 3 nights, the longest I've stayed on the Island at one time. I was staying 3 nights last April but a storm delayed the ferry a day and we only stayed 2.

Day 3: Sunday

Had breakfast and just chilled in the chairs listening to to ocean. Then my brother says " Is that a Element(Honda)", I was thinking you gotta be kidding me, someone did not bring a Element on the Island more less down to the Jetty where some are afraid to bring their full size trucks for fear of sinking in the sand. It wasn't 5 seconds after he said something the front end of the Element went down flush with the sand and stopped, We yelled to ask if they needed any help and got a maybe.
Dropped the rack of the back of the TB and dug out new 20' strap, they tried to dig out and use 2x4's they brought as sand ladders but wood doesn't offer much traction and they were sitting on the lower control arms all the way around. Gave them a tug and told them to stay on the hard pack near the water to be safe. No pics of this extraction unfortunately. Fished a little more that after noon without much luck and with high winds not helping so we decided to ride the Island some more.

Some pics I played with a little.
