Summer TECORE. Thinking sometime in June (before it gets stupid-hot). Does anybody have any dates to work around? I know a couple people are getting out of school some time, so when are your dates?

Being so far off, I don't know if I can confirm any dates yet... but I'll certainly try to be there.

I've tried to do some research on different areas to explore, there are plenty in PA, but as I understand it, they are generally more like standard fire roads.

Do you know the dates of the Rally? Last I looked, I saw nothing regarding it.

Dates and location are not set yet, It is now going to be organized regionally with each region having a different person in charge, I think it was too much on Brian last year so he is delegating. South East they asked The Swiss to do, He has to find a place to have it and plan the events, He said they talked about moving it up to April but he didn't think he could put it together that quick so look for it in May/June likely in Georgia but he is open to suggestions for the location. There is a thread on ExPo in the South East Expedition Society section, If you know a good place in the south east let him know.

I'll be out of school May 3rd. From then on I'm mostly free all the time. I'll try to make one of the two trips being planned. I will most likely go with the June one so I can get as much done to the TB as possible before I take the 8 hour ride down there...

If you're looking to go in PA, I know a good place to go. I can't take my truck, I'd never make it. But if anyone is interested, I can jack my buddies truck and be good to go!

Having it in PA would make me a Definite on the list...Virginia would be a maybe...that is if we can find good trails for it in PA.

Rausch would be interesting to revisit. Keep in mind that the park caters to hard-core offroaders. Sliders would be a REQUIREMENT for the trails we would hit. They do allow overnight camping, but it's one big group camping spot... in the parking lot. Maybe we could find a nice spot nearby to drive to and camp overnight, then test the vehicles during the day in the park. I'll have to read up more about it, it's been almost two years since I've been.

I'd be down to go to Rausch. Been wanting to for a while now.

Have to see what kind of trails are there, for me... Badlands is pretty good, because there's a bypass for most everything that a stock TJ couldn't do. I'm not looking to drive 12 hours to break stuff, otherwise...

Here's a good view of what we'd likely be getting into.

Eh, if you didn't have a problem, I'll be fine... Maybe a little more noise, but I'll be fine. I'm ~2" higher with ~3/4" more axle clearance and stiffer springs than I had at the last TECORE I drove to... I'll be out of warranty right around them, so I might just go ahead and do the suspension lift, as well...
