Works for me, just want to get the trans and transfer case fluids done first. I could probably unbolt the steps at my place if I really had to without attracting to much attention. Popping off the pan on the transmission however is another story... :)

Well guys, looks like my plan isn't going to happen...the idiots couldnt extract my rear diff plug properly. Instead they stripped thay crap out of the threads and now it has to be re-tapped and fixed... I will make one of these meets soon though! Sorry about that guys.

They stripped your diff fill plug threads? How in Hades did they do that? Doesn't even sound possible.

Fill it through vent line. I did it after I snapped both extensions. Plug came right out w an impact later but had to use the vent to fill it. Not quick but ya do what ya gotta. Definitely not a trip preventing issue
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

I would take your advice on filling it there, but the plug is out and they stripped it somehow...so I'm not sure what there going to do. Its a 2 day drive to the meet, so they would have to fix it by tomorrow. So I'm keeping my finger crossed. Worst case I can't make it...which sucks. I feel like you guys are my long lost brothers and would love to meet you guys. I will be there for the summer one though.

Some good news from the FS... they said Dry Run should be open (which, ironically, is the deep stream crossing).

So, is this the list then?

Christian, is it safe to assume you did not get your rear axle fixed in time? I haven't heard much from ya (maybe you're on the road!).

Looking like cold nights, possibly touching freezing, so be prepared for that. I don't want any of you guys freezing.

Small chance of rain from what I can see. 30% right now on Saturday, Saturday night being more likely for rain.

I don't want to answer for James but maybe he can confirm that these vid's of his are in fact the area in question

And if they are I would guess sense it's spring now and was fall in the vid's that the water could be a bit deeper

But maybe James will confirm if I'm right or wrong

That trail has sadly been closed. :(

The crossing that I'm thinking may be open is in the beginning of this video:
(starts at 0:20)

Also can be seen in this video:
