We didn't end up doing a second night of camping. I'm sure me or someone else will go into it. For now I just wanted to post up a quick teaser:

How many guys showed up?
Did you get any wheeling (other than driving out) before the snow fell?

6 guys, 6 tents, 4 trucks. I really appreciate all you guys making the effort to travel that distance, especially with snow in the forecast.

We got in some decent trails before snow fell. Snow started at about 6 PM Friday, and didn't stop until about 9 AM Saturday. We did some good exploring Saturday, made dinner, then parted ways before dusk.

I would be still in my tent, huddled up until it all melted. :friday: With the beer fridge BELOW me. :excited: And a bunch of yellow snow in the vicinity.

That's funny! I said over the radio yesterday that "finally! Donny isn't the only one with snow wheling vids!"

The reason we bugged out was because our stuff was all wet, and we'd have to set up camp again on top of the (wet) snow, and it was supposed to get colder again last night, etc. etc. etc... It really worked out well that I got to come home today and set up all our stuff in the back yard, to dry, as opposed to camping again in wet stuff, getting home at 11:59PM Sunday night, then getting up for work Monday morning, and the wet stuff staying wet until Monday night, and having to be left up to dry all day Tuesday while I'm at work... If everybody else had wanted to stay, I would have stayed, but I think nearly everybody was about in the same boat...

That's why I said "nearly"... Those whose tents were on top of their vehicles wouldn't have had to worry about setting back up in the snow, and were understandably still "in"...

I take it people's rigs weren't set up in a such a way that they could pull stuff out of the back and sleep in the trucks?

No matter, I wouldn't want to set up camp on snow unless I HAD to either...

That's what I was gonna do if we stayed but the guys with a rider in the truck wouldn't be able to without leaving all their stuff out in the snow to get soggy.

2 vehicles had 2 people in them, and were PACKED... It wouldn't have actually been bad at all if it hadn't been snowing when we were packing up... Could have just shaken everything out and put it away... But as it happened, it was snowing pretty hard all morning, so everything got put away with a fair amount of snow in/on it...

No pics for the first bit of the trail. Mike took some good video though... looking forward to seeing that.

Here's an optional obstacle on the way to the top. Kyle went up it... and then Matt and I went down it. Sorry, no pics of Kyle or I... I'm sure someone else has it.

We would have normally camped at the top of the mountain, but knowing that it was going to snow, we decided to head down to a more protected campsite.

Wow! Great pics! Love the ones where the trees are covered in snow but still got good foliage. Such crazy weather, sucks it made for a short trip, esp since you guys drove so far, but still looked like fun was had by all.

Def looking forward to getting back out there for the next TECORE...

I dominated that obstacle, now the tree before it is a different story!

Great pics James, I will get mine posted up tomorrow. It was a great time, I do look forward to making the trip again in the future, I want to see what the weather cheated us out of on Saturday.
