Like the title says, UCORA (the United Christian Off-Road Alliance) will host their annual off-road event, Crawl 4 Christ, at Harlan, Kentucky at the Black Mountain Recreational Park.

Registration is open to anyone, whether Christian or not, or whether UCORA member or not. We will host a dinner Saturday night with entertainment and a HUGE raffle (seats, tires, chainsaw, winches, and LOTS of other stuff).

We practice "family friendly" wheeling atmosphere, and we will be running guided trails for all levels of vehicle, from close to stocker to full-on comp buggy. Harlan has the trail system to handle anything we throw at it, and even stockers will have one of the best wheeling experiences of their life doing the easy main trails. As a for instance, we were there on a pre-run last weekend, and it took one solid hour of wheeling to get from the Putney Campground (our home base) to the top of the mountain where the trail head joins the rest of the trails. That is one hour climbing up-hill, much of it in 1st gear low-range in a Jeep Wrangler w/ 34s, 4.88 gears. No big obstacles, but oh, what scenery!

Here are a few pics of our pre-run:

More to come!

You know I am trying. The baby will be here any day and the wife is on bedrest, so trying not to commit til I am holding a healthy baby and know everything is good to go.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Sounds good guys, especially Kyle... I'll be prayin' for the pregnancy and healthy baby. That is far more important than an off-road run. We do family on our runs, though, so if everyone is healthy, they would all fit in well. My grandchildren are already experienced off-roaders at age 1 and 4, especially the 4-year old. You should hear some of the stuff he says. He is so nonchalant, "Dad, just push those buttons and go up this hill." 8-)

You guys who are farther out, keep watching. We move this event from place to place all over the nation. We're optimistically planning for Moab, Utah next year. After that, it could be in Colorado, etc., as member clubs step forward with plans for a national run.

I added a couple of links to UCORA and to C4C.

Is the photobucket link working? Does for me, that's why I ask.

I'm looking into this, looks like a good time. I have a week long road trip at the end of July I'm planning for, so I have to see if I can fund it.

Be great to see you down there. If June doesn't work out, we're making a pre-run at the end of April as well. No real hard-core trail stuff in April (well... ) mostly running as many trails as possible so we can effectively lead them later during the run.

It is a tad more for us... Like 28 hours! Trip takes 2 days of solid driving when towing.
