Well, I didn't know where to ask sooo. We are visiting family in Louisville at the end of the year. I have been looking at offroad parks but the closest 1 is 1.5 hours away in Lockport- HillzNHollarz. Maybe. I'm just looking for something up to a 2 ORTB scale. Nothing crazy as I'll have my daughter. Any help would be cool. I would settle for even a really scenic road, being winter. Thanks everybody

I'd check the MVUM of any local national forests.

The Hoosier national forest is nearby. Here's a link to their MVUM: http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/hoosier/recreat ... vum_tc.pdf

Route 1141 looks possibly scenic and not far from the interstate. I'm sure there are many other roads in the forest that would be fun to explore. Most roads would probably be 1.5 or so - maybe a 2? Do some google-earth recon.

HNF used to have stuff that guys that were locked front and rear, with 44" boggers would get stuck... That stuff has now pretty much all been graded and graveled over... This is where I used to camp and wheel in HS (some of the less serious ones), and there were too many people making tracks off the sides of the trail, so they closed all of them (at least all the ones I know about, around Lake Monroe)...

I'm new to the off road stuff, and newly lifted, but I'm sure we could come up with something in the area. :flex dirty:

I completely forgot about google earth. I will look into national forests also. I would like to get into some more difficult stuff but I'm not lifted or locked, yet. All I have is 245-75-16 Firestone Destination A/T's.

Let me know if you have a date. I will try to find the thread on a Jeep forum I found with a cool drive through the HNF.

We will be in Louisville between December 30 and January 8, give or take depending on the weather. I talked to my wife and she is stoked about driving through the national forest, so now I just need to map out a route. Is HNF real mountainous or fairly flat? I would look at the MVUM but truthfully I have no idea what I'm looking at.
