You're probably wondering.... "WTF? Does this guy work?" Yes, I do. I have the bug apparently, and I spend a good chunk of my free time off pavement these days.

After my defeat on Friday, I returned home to find UPS had paid me a visit. My Ebay roof basket had arrived. I already had my mounting scheme planned. So a few bolts and welds later I suddenly had more storage. :excited:

Saturday I went out with the wife to look at a 2010 Camaro for kicks. (Synergy Green is EFFING SWEET BTW). While she took a test drive, I wandered into the Schucks-OReilly's across the street. Lo and behold, a set of Hella 700FFs in an open box. $60 and tax free(and no possibility of an Ebay scam)? Couldn't get my wallet out fast enough.

Wife and I went separate ways for a couple hours. I decided to see how I wanted to mount these lights to the bumper without cutting it. As I poked and prodded, the left side of the bumper popped off again. Discovering that over the course of my ownership, most of the hardware holding it on was now missing/broken, it came off. Light mounting became much easier.

So, the ride as it stands now.

Sunday, a buddy and I went out to play again. This time he was on board to explore, rather than just target shoot. Good times! :excited:

I won't go quite so narrative as the last few posts... I'll just flood you with pictures/video. (Be warned, my videos aren't terribly exciting. And they're unedited)

Some eagles I spotted:

Bad parking job...

Coming down a trail... we found a license plate. On the way back down, I decided to try my hand at holding the cell camera while driving.

Calamity Peak off in the distance.

Long ways down.

The boy loves trail rides...

Driving through some cuts, my buddy got hung up in 4WD. I drove on through in 2WD. :poke:

Vid is a little longish...(5 mins)

Found more snow.

A lesson in hubris. After laughing at your buddy for getting stuck in the snow...

Image

Definitely do not go blasting up a trail and high center yourself on said snow.

Last obstacle of the day was a pretty steep hill climb.

From the top.

Heading down for the day.

Safely home... my boy wants to go back so bad he's stealing the truck...

So I think there's something up with my G80... If you look at the hill climb video, I'm only getting a dust cloud from the right rear wheel when I break traction. Also when I got stuck in the snow I was only getting the right rear to spin... Guess I'll start another thread.

Donny nice documentation. Your "longish video (about 5 min)" is where I came through with all three kids last fall in freezing rain. Daddy didn't say much through there, neither did the kids.
(stupid) :wallbash:

The video and pics don't show how remote/deep in the woods you are up there.
