I still think it is much more reasonable to try and organizing simultaneous trips for now. TECORE is due for a threequel and I'm sure you guys in other areas could come up with a catchy name for something. CaliCORE? :poke: Midwest is already covered with their clever MORA.

Take off score, the desert racers might not be happy with that as there is a race series called score.

Not sure if I understand the reasoning behind a "simultaneous" trip. Sounds like extra work for nothing.

Didn't know that... thanks for the info.

It's more for the novelty than anything else... why not? As long as it doesn't necessarily cost more, I see no reason why we shouldn't at least try for a "simultaneous" trip.

Exactly. I see no reason it would take any more effort, as each individual group will still be planning their own trip. There is just a novelty involved(which I think would be cool) with all of them being the same weekend. Just a way to have a national meet without a central location. Maybe even make it competitive, see who has the best turnout and route....

The complexity comes with trying to coordinate with 2 or 3 times as many schedules.

It goes up as the factorial of the number involved. I'm amazed the ten or so vehicles in the MORA conga line ever got on the trails. We lost daylight at the end of the trip for getting off-route, but also because we got started over an hour later than planned. The day had lift installs, a BBQ, and a WEDDING on the agenda besides the trail run, for pity's sake! Lost focus a bit, but it was an event probably never can be repeated.

Worked for you last year's early expedition. But only because "the wave" was east to west.

as i was telling teebes on PSN....my jeep club is doing moab sometime next year....
the set date for us is june 3-13th(JUST found that out for yall)

could i suggest a 2 club meeting or run together? we like our scenic trips just as much as the serious stuff.

still cant say i will take the TB out there because the jobless aspect means no parts money, but if the job thing changes then its almost 100% that she'd come!

and as usual ill be doing photography and video for WE4x4.com,gl4x4.com and if yall come,offroadtb.com,trailvoy and maybe even expedition portal!

It's pretty much official, I'll be heading towards Moab for the Jeep Safari this year. No official dates set yet, but I'll probably be out there for a week or so past Easter.
