That's a long ways out there!

Been to Gifford Pinchot yet? Lots of BLM roads and views and it's late enough in the year that you shouldn't encounter snow. About an hour north of you.

I shoot out there occasionally. I'd be happy to lead you out that way.

Sure, as soon as I get the truck ready. Just picked it up today. Sumpter we are going to regardless so my daughter can see the old gold dredge and ride the train.

I think lift and tire could be done soon If'n I had some help on the lift. I have access to a shop but I learned a long time ago to seek out those who know what they are doing. I have done this type of thing before but every vehicle is different! Lift first yes? THen tires....

I could help towards the end of the month. I don't have any air tools but they aren't 100% necessary. Are you just doing suspension? We did mine in like 2 1/2 hours with 2 1/2 guys working. 1 wouldn't get on the ground to save his life.

Thanks, goal is to be ready by the 19th so as much as I appreciate the offer I probably need to do it sooner.

Actually hoping to do a markmc 2.5 next week. then need to find some tires!

37's WOW, a little big for a DD around here brother.

Driveway and airtools? From the looks of the weather forcast that might actually work.... I should find out today what the scoop is on getting the lift kit. If need be maybe the 14th or 15th? Not sure I can get a lift here by tomorrow :shoot:

Dang. I don't even see 35's as a reality without a LOT of cutting. For me anyways. I don't think I wanna go to that extreme yet as this still is the only option for carting friends and their kids around for me. I have the only vehicle of my friends to get us up deep enough in the woods to lose cell signal a d civilization.

:hijack:

I didn't have to cut that much to fit 35s.

On a related note - flipping the UCAs REALLY helps with front clearance. I used to slightly rub with 32s, but after flipping it looks like I have room for 34 or 35s without trimming.

Food for thought.

Now my only limitation is gearing.

So back on topic it appears there is a large complex near Baker Oregon! Once the lift is on and I find tires I can afford I think a test run with Fishstiks is in order up to GP.

Off topic/ 35's are my goal but right now I have 33x11.5 on 1.5" spacers so I only rub at certain flex points. Going into a driveway or something like that when I'm turned about 60%. I'm sure I could go a little taller if I went to a narrower tire, but I like the wider footprint for snow and sand.

On topic/ my expected arrival back in town looks to be the 18-19 of this month. I'll be doing a little trimming on mine that weekend to get rid of the aforementioned rub. A little NW get together in nice weather would be fun.

I agree a little get-together would be great. But I am out of town that weekend. However, Saturday the 28th is looking good? I plan on having the lift done before then but it would still be good to come meet a few people and turn a wrench.. 8-)

I work from home, as does the wife. My buddy is off work with a bad back. We do brunch whenever we want.
