So about a week ago I had to take an emergency evening run up to one of the communications sites up on Apex Peak. Since I maintain some repeater equipment up there I get the call around 7:20pm that a repeater isn't working. Knowing I short on daylight and that I have a short hike to get to the top I did some quick checks and make a call to a friend to see if he can ride a long.

We got to the top parking area around 8pm and still had our short hike to the top building. We got to the building and found that half of the building was without power. I found a bad breaker in the panel, luckily there was a spare and I got it replaced. We got back down to the truck at about 8:50 and it was pretty dark on the side of the mountain. It made me realize why I want roof mounted lights on there and possibly the rock lights.

We tried to snap some pics with my Iphone and here is the best we came out with.

Pretty dark looking. Where is Apex Peak? I couldn't seem to find it in some quick googling.

Nice! I'd like to see some pics from that peak during the day. Looks like a cool place!
